There are times in life where you let photos speak for themselves.
Mario and Luigi (which used to be another great place called Hit & Mrs – loved the punny name) was where we chose to have my pal M’s birthday in 2015.
One of the better dinners we’ve had in KL, this is one of the Big Groups eateries – all of which have consistently been up to par.
While I do not really recall all the names of all the dishes because we ordered many of the dishes via “table envy” – we basically looked at what the other tables were eating, and ordered the ones that looked yummy – though they probably thought we were gossiping about them. Nah uh, we were talking about your food yo!
I remember a few stand outs though, the ricotta stuffed zucchini was not only pretty, but very delicious. I never knew zucchini flowers were that beautiful. The entire process of eating this dish is a pretty journey in itself.
And while I do not remember the name of it – the dish you see with prawns? It was a cold cappelini dish, and it was so good, we ordered a second serving. (Hence, the many photos of that one dish.)
The pasta with the egg I also remember being yummy, though for the life of me, I can not recall what it was. And, I might be biased because anything with an egg automatically goes up 10 points in my visual-feast scale. But that cheesy, sinful, lasagna looking dish? All I remember is that it was a beef cheek something, and it was divine.
We rolled out of the restaurant too full to party. Which was a real shame because we had booked a table at Zouk.
Oh well, another time then.
But if you ever want to pop by Mario & Luigi, which I highly recommend because of it’s good food and reasonable prices..
